​Jessie McLaughlan is an LA-based multi-hyphenate creator with roots in theatre and 13 years working in the tech industry. Her storytelling spans genres, unified by an exploration of the pangs and struggles of being an outsider– through the lens of complex female protagonists.

Originally from West Virginia, Jessie comes from an artistic and musical family. She studied theatre and film at Towson University in Baltimore, MD, where she was recognized by the Kennedy Center for several performances. During her twelve-year tenure in NYC, she refined her craft as a writer, studying at UCB and The Second City.

Jess has spent the last decade cultivating her skills as a creative technologist, and has helped build new web products, such as JP Morgan's LLM Suite, which was named 2025 "Innovation of the Year" by American Banker.
